It looks like the Haiti immigration deportation honeymoon is over!
The Dominican Republic has begun it's post-earthquake deportation of Haitians.
700 illegal Haitians have been deported so far.
The associated press reports.
The Dominican Republic has begun its first major crackdown on illegal Haitian immigrants since last January’s earthquake, rounding up and deporting hundreds of people in recent days, officials said Thursday. More than 700 Haitians have been deported since Monday, said Ambiorix Rosario, a spokesman for the Department of Migration. Officials said the crackdown was necessary to stem growing illegal immigration and to prevent the spread of cholera, which has killed more than 3,000 people in Haiti since October.
About 150 have been sickened in the Dominican Republic.
Question:
Did you actually believe that a disaster in Haiti would leave all doors open Haitians?

Now that Baby Doc has returned I see some hope for unity of Haitan people and have proposed we work together especially the Haitians living in U.S. to form a construction company and appeal to U.S. government for financial aid and assistance to build immediately what Haiti needs the most which is new water and sewer works then can begin the rebuilding of a new Port-au-Prince. This should be supervised and done by Haitians now living in U.S.and people like myself who lived and worked in Haiti and have the best interest of Haiti at heart. Those interested to become involved which could also end up providing work for yourself in the down U.S. job economy can contact me at facebook page for RoyalKingdom Greater Syria (gov't-in-exile) and leave message and how to contact you by email.

The problem isn´t of the dominican president, every country has the mission to deport all illegals people into his country. el problema es de los dirigentes haitianos que solamente se concentran en llenar sus bolsillos y no hacen nada para que este pais salga de sus penas. pienso que haiti es el pais mas discriminado del mundo y todo eso los dirigentes haitianos no lo comprenden. se pou dirijan mete tet yo ansanb pou mache refom agre nan peyi a konsa tout ayisyen ap rete nan peyi travay yo p´ap gen pou al pase ront nan men etranje
