Proud To Be Haitian

As a proud Haitian I have to say that we have come a long way and for any haitian to deny thier roots should be ashamed. I am deeply touched by this poem and by far it definetly speaks the truth. I commend my brother that wrote this poem and encourage him to continue his work. My favorite part of this poem is when he mentions that we deserve respect being the first freed black nation. Many people do not understand what that means. Haitia currenty has political issues and I constantly keep Haiti in my prayers. So I just want to say to all my brothers and sisters: remember where you come from, L'uinon fait la force!
